A New User's Guide To Success

In this guide, you’ll walk through the essential steps needed to complete the foundational setup before selling tickets. This is a great starting point for new users.

Logging in to the Box Office

The Box Office is where you create events, manage ticket sales, run reports, and configure settings. To log in, go to your Box Office URL in a web browser:

[yourclientid].hometownticketing.com/admin

You'll need:

  1. Client ID. Your organization's unique identifier (see "How to find your Client ID" below)

  2. Username. Created by your school's Hometown admin

  3. Password. Created by your school's Hometown admin

Important: Include /admin at the end of the URL. Without it, you'll land on the fan-facing ticket purchase page instead of the admin login.


Section 1: Setting Up Your Box Office

5: Complete Seat Map Request (Not required for General Admission. Required for Reserved Seating only)


Section 2: Event Creation

  1. Located on the Dashboard, select +New Event

  2. Enter the event details

  3. Click Next

  4. Define Ticket Levels & Pricing

  5. Click Next

  6. Confirm all ticket levels have been created by selecting Confirm

  7. Preview and Publish

Embed Code Generator

  1. Click Settings from the box office dashboard

  2. Select Embed Code Generator

  3. Use the filters to adjust the view of the embed (by team, school, department, etc.)

  4. Select Generate Code
