Most common reason: The donation is there, but it's listed under a different name than you expected. Check by amount and date first before assuming it's missing.
Step 1: Check by amount, not by name
Donors enter their own name at checkout, and that name may be different from what you expected. A grandparent may use a spouse's card. A parent may donate under their work name. If someone donated $50 and you got a notification, look for a $50 donation in your list regardless of the name beside it.
Step 2: Wait a few minutes
Donations typically show up quickly, but there can occasionally be a short delay between when someone donates and when it appears in your page. If you just got the notification, wait a few minutes and then refresh the page.
Step 3: Contact support
If the donation still isn't showing after 24 hours and you've checked by amount, reach out to our support team through chat or email at [email protected]. Have these ready:
Your name and email address
The name of your fundraiser
The donor's name and the amount they donated
Any receipt number the donor received
š” Tip: If the donor has a receipt from Schoolfundr, the receipt number helps us locate the donation quickly.
FAQs
I got a notification but there's no donation in my total. Is that a bug?
Not necessarily. The notification may have come through before the page had a chance to update. Give it a minute and refresh. If it's still not there after checking by amount, contact support.
The donation is under a name I don't recognize. What should I do?
It's probably someone you know who donated using a different name or a family member's card. Check the amount to match it up. If you're still unsure, contact support with the donation details and we can confirm who made it.
