Why haven't my contacts received my fundraiser emails?

Your fundraiser is live but your contacts still haven't received emails? Here's how to figure out what's happening.

First: confirm your fundraiser is actually live. Emails only go out after your fundraiser launches. If your page still shows "Coming Soon," your contacts haven't received anything yet. See "Why haven't my contacts received my emails yet?" in the Loading Your Contacts section.

Step 1: Ask contacts to check their spam folder

Schoolfundr outreach emails are sent from an automated system, which means they can land in spam, junk, or promotions folders. This is the most common reason a contact says they never received anything. Ask them to search their inbox for "Schoolfundr" or "Hometown" and check those folders.

Step 2: Verify the email address you submitted

Once contacts are submitted, their email addresses are locked and can't be edited. If there was a typo when you entered the address, the email went nowhere. You can check what address you submitted by reviewing your contact list in the contact table a the bottom of your dashboard.

If an address was entered incorrectly, you'll need to re-add that contact with the correct email. On the same contacts table, click the 3-dots to the right of the contact name and click "Delete". Reupload the correct on the email uploader at the top of your dashboard.

Still not resolved?

If your fundraiser is confirmed live, and the email addresses are correct, contact our support team. Share your fundraiser name and the email addresses that aren't receiving anything, and we'll look into it on our end.

šŸ’” Tip: While you wait, share your donation link directly by text or social media. Your contacts can donate through your personal link even if they haven't received an email.

FAQs

Can Schoolfundr resend emails to contacts who didn't receive them?

Schoolfundr sends automated reminder emails on a schedule to contacts who haven't donated yet. If a contact genuinely didn't receive the original email (not just didn't open it), contact support and we can look into it for that specific address.

My contact uses Gmail. Could it be going to Promotions?

Yes, this is common. Ask them to check the Promotions tab in Gmail. If they find it there, they can move it to their Primary inbox and mark the sender as "not spam" so future emails arrive normally.
